How to get to Aling Aling waterfalls?
Where is Aling Aling waterfall located? The Aling Aling waterfall is located in the Sambangan Village, north Bali, approximately 80 km from Denpasar.
The best way to reach here is by hiring a private car or scooter. It takes around two and a half hours to reach the waterfalls from Denpasar, but the scenic drive through Bali’s countryside makes it worth the journey.
You can also take a guided tour, which will include transportation and other activities such as trekking and swimming.
It takes approximately 1 hour by car to reach Aling Aling waterfall from Munduk, and only about 30 minutes from Lovina.

‘To visit Aling Aling waterfall without swimming and cliff jumping, a fee of 10,000 IDR is required.
For trekking and swimming, including a local guide, you have three options available:
Short trekking with a guide -125 000 IDR per person
The short trekking includes visiting four waterfalls, where you can swim and enjoy cliff jumping.
Medium trekking with a guide – 250 000 IDR per person
On the medium trek, you can also visit the Blue Lagoon, and you will get a bottle of water.
Long trekking with a guide – 375 000 IDR per person

The waterfall is open from 8 am until 5 pm every day, and we recommend visiting earlier in the day to avoid crowds.
The four waterfalls
The Aling Aling waterfall area is home to four stunning waterfalls – Aling Aling, Kroya, Pucuk, and Kembar. Each waterfall has its unique charm and offers a different experience to visitors.
Aling Aling waterfall
The main waterfall of the area is the 35-meter high Aling Aling waterfall. Swimming is not allowed at Aling Aling waterfall, but it is a stunning sight to behold.
Upon arrival at Aling Aling waterfall, you will be greeted by the sound of rushing water and lush greenery.
The trek to the waterfall is relatively easy, but it can get slippery, so make sure to wear proper footwear.

It will take approximately 10-15 minutes to get to Aling Aling waterfall.
Kroya Waterfall
Kroya waterfall is located right next to Aling Aling. It is a perfect spot for taking stunning photos or just enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
Kroya waterfall features a 5 meter jump platform. If you’re interested in cliff jumping, it’s recommended to start with this one.
Katariina had a mishap during her jump, but luckily the height wasn’t too great.
Kembar Waterfall
Kembar waterfall is located just a short few minutes walk from Kroya waterfall. It features a 10-meter cliff jump, perfect for thrill-seekers.
Pucuk Waterfall
Pucuk waterfall is right next to Kembar waterfall. It is also popular spot for cliff jumping. With a height of 15 meters, it offers an adrenaline rush to those who dare to jump.
If you don’t have experience jumping cliffs, it’s better only to observe others doing it. Jumping incorrectly from such heights can be dangerous or even deadly.
The Blue Lagoon
The hidden gem of Bali’s Blue Lagoon is also located near the Aling Aling waterfall area. This secluded lagoon boasts crystal clear blue waters, surrounded by lush greenery. It is perfect for swimming and taking in the breathtaking scenery.
If you opt for the medium hike, you’ll visit the Blue Lagoon following the Aling Aling waterfall. The hike is relatively short, taking around 15 minutes to walk.Certain areas may be slippery, and we also spotted a snake, so please watch your step!
After visiting Blue Lagoon, you will have the opportunity to swim in three other waterfalls and cliff jumping spot.
When is the best time to visit Aling Aling waterfalls?
The best time to visit Aling Aling waterfall is during the dry season, which runs from April to September. During this time, the water flow is moderate and ideal for swimming and cliff jumping. Additionally, due to less rainfall, the hiking paths are usually drier and safer to navigate.
However, if you’re hoping to see a more dramatic flow of water at the waterfall, you can visit during the wet season from October to March. Just be prepared for heavier rainfall and potentially more challenging hiking conditions.
